Catharsis was a dance piece featured in the Contemporary Dance Ensemble's Directions.

I worked closely with the choreographer, Jessica to navigate this piece, a semi-autobiographical surreal dance piece that echoed her journey through the anxieties of uncertainty and the embracing of help from loved ones.

I embraced saturations of alternating reds, deep indigos, and magentas to characterize polar intensities of tension and isolation. This was contrasted by stark whites and light blues which characterized hope and salvation.

Moving lights and dynamic cueing through an ETC Ion board were utilized.
