Costume Renderings

Into the Woods by James Lapine & Stephen Sondheim

Drama 181B- Costume Design for Theatre (Professor Elizabeth Payne)

2021

Rendered on Procreate.

Conceptually inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, Critical Role, Tolkien, and various RPG video games. A musical about the journeys we take, Into the Woods falls beautifully into the conceit of role-playing and questing.

The Trojan Women by Euripides

Rendered on Procreate.

Conceptually spun to take place during the Vietnam War, historically referenced from archival photographs and extant garments, USO shows of the 1960s, and Vietnamese Buddhist artwork.

The Trojan Women by Euripides

Historically-inspired by Ancient Greek and Trojan artwork, pottery, sculptures, and extant armor.

Pencil and alcohol marker on paper.

Heavily inspired by vintage German picture books, my designs for Bremen Town combine elements of rustic commoner-wear with distinguishable nods to animal traits, such as paws, ears, and tails.
